Following some blogs

I am following several blogs in hopes that some skills rub off! I like the RSS feeds but it seems confusing to have to log in to Google Reader, Flickr and Blogger to get to it. One giant password for everything!!I think an RSS feed on genealogy would be great. See what records are going online. In the same vein, I think OPL following a genealogy feed would give our customers the latest info.

Learning RSS feeds

I am trying to understand RSS feeds. It seems reasonable to follow one site rather than many. Libraries could have feeds from state libraries, current events and author websites to keep the public informed.

I am learning about Flickr with lots of help from fellow staff members. The quality of the images is surprisingly good. It seems confusing to set up a google and a yahoo account. Flickr is part of yahoo though. I think I will have to have a file to keep track of my passwords!

I finished the apple butter last night! I'm sick of apples.

Musings of a Jam Queen

And you thought I meant music! It's hot pepper jam and apple butter making time! The light is changing and the leaves are turning. I'm thinking of asking co-workers what kind of jam they'd like for Christmas but I'm afraid I'd get mobbed!
I started a new batch of apple butter last night. It's marinating in the fridge and I'll cook it down tomorrow. It smells great!
